Nethili Vadai ~ Nethili Fish ~ Nethili Fry ~ Anchovies recipe

NETHILI MEEN VADAI
About Nethili Vada
When you are bored of cooking ordinary fish fry and you want something different, then this is a must try recipe. It is a great side dish for rice with rasam. You can also have it as a snack.
Ingredients to make Nethili Vada / Anchovies Fritters
- Nethili / Anchovy - Handful (deboned)
- Coconut - 1/2
- Small onion - 10
- Chilli powder - 1/4 tbsp
- Curry Leaves- 2 string (optional)
- Fennel- 1/4 tbsp
- Oil to deep fry
- salt as needed
- Turmeric powder ~ a pinch
- Nethili / Anchovy - Handful (deboned)
- Coconut - 1/2
- Small onion - 10
- Chilli powder - 1/4 tbsp
- Curry Leaves- 2 string (optional)
- Fennel- 1/4 tbsp
- Oil to deep fry
- salt as needed
- Turmeric powder ~ a pinch
How to make Nethili Vada / Anchovies Fritters
- Clean the Anchovies and debone it.
- In a blender, grind the fennel seeds, cinnamon, red chilli, green chilli, salt ,shallots, ginger garlic paste and curry leaves to a coarse paste.
- Now, Open the lid and add the Anchovies and just give one pulse. Don't grind it to smooth paste.
- Transfer it to a bowl and mix it well.
- Make into small sized patties. Deep fry on both sides till it becomes golden brown in colour.
- Hot and flavorful vada is ready. Serve it with ketchup or as a side dish for meals.
